Infertility can be difficult to talk about, but you’d be surprised to know that about 12% of women aged 15 to 44 in the United States have difficulty getting pregnant or carrying a pregnancy to term (CDC website, 2020). “Infertility is incredibly frustrating. Patients that come to us show a wide variety of emotions, from sadness to anger to embarrassment, and it’s okay to feel those things,” says Family Fertility nurse, Jen. “Oftentimes, patients just need someone to listen and explain to them what options are available.”
Solutions for infertility can range quite a bit. “We work closely with your Women’s Health OB/GYN to determine the best plan of care for you. Every patient we work with receives a tailored treatment plan, which may be as simple as lifestyle changes or incorporating medication,” says Jen, RN. “At Family Fertility, we work with you every step of the way, to make sure you have the knowledge and support you need to make the best decisions in your care.”
It’s a team effort, with all of us here at Women’s Health Specialists focused on helping patients in the Fox Valley grow their families.
