Car Seat Safety
Did you know…?
- 4 out of 5 car seats are used/installed incorrectly?
- The back seat is the safest place for children to ride?
- Car seats reduce the risk of infant death in a crash by 71%?
Buckling up the right way on every ride is the single most important thing a family can do to stay safe in the car. Child restraints and seat belts, when installed and used properly, can prevent injuries and save lives.
Car Seat Safety Inspections
These checks are provided by certified child passenger safety technicians to ensure proper fit and usage. Car seats will be checked with the most recent recall and expiration information. The technician will then make sure you have the correct seat for your child and ensure that it is correctly installed. Please try to install the car seat prior to your appointment and have your vehicle and car seat manuals available. Bring the child to be fit in the car seat, if applicable. If you are an expectant parent, it is recommended to schedule fitting prior to your due date.
Due to COVID-19, many places are currently not doing car seat checks. You should check with your local government for possible locations.
