In the Fox Valley area, we are fortunate to have great resources if sexual violence should occur. We have Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) nurses or Forensic Nurse Examiners in our area. These nurses are trained specifically in the response and treatment of sexual assault. They collaborate with law enforcement, the justice system and community advocacy agencies to provide support for survivors and their families.
