In honor of National Nurses’ Week, we asked our amazing nursing staff some fun questions and gathered their answers below. We are so thankful for their incredible dedication to giving you, our wonderful patients, the best care possible. Nurses, thank you for all you do. How long have you been a nurse?

Our registered nurses have 236 years total experience, about an average of 13.8 years per individual. Our  licensed practical nurse (LPN) has 2.5 years of experience, CNA’s 60 years and our medical assistants have 41 years of combined experience

How long have you worked for WHS?

The total combined years of service is 164.5 years with an average of seven years.

What type of nurse are you?

We have 17 registered nurses (RN), one licensed practical nurse, 3 certified nursing assistants and one certified medical assistant. In addition, we have a lactation specialist and a surgical assistant.

What is the highest degree that you have obtained? 

Nine of our nurses have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and seven have an Associates’ Degree in Nursing. We also have one licensed practical nurse, 3 certified nursing assistants and one certified medical assistant.

If you worked on labor and delivery before coming to WHS how long did you do L&D?

Our nurses have a combined 107.5 years of experience working in labor and delivery at the hospital before working in our clinic.  This is an average of 6.3 years of labor and delivery experience per RN.

How old are you?

The average age of our nurses is 41.1 years old.

Are you married?

Twenty one are married and one nurse is engaged!

How many children do you have?

Our nurses have 51 children total, including 26 girls and 25 boys. Grandmothers on our staff have a total of 18.5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
